Original Message:   Sad but good to know other vets agree & I'm not just whinging!
As I keep saying, I want more M&M, & the best way to ensure that is for all fans to rush out & support this in numbers. But I just can't in good conscience recommend it. Maybe one day after a few patches it will be worth the time. Right now, it's sloppy, lazy, buggy, & a good few months of polishing from being acceptable for sale.

The most vocal supporters on the Ubi forums appear to be the younger generation who have unfortunately grown up expecting that games are now released with an unacceptable number of bugs, and eventually they'll get patched to something resembling an acceptable product - hopefully. So just be patient & stop whinging, because "they're working on it". But for those who expect the "working on it" to have been done before release, the world has moved on unfortunately.

In the days pre mass internet, there was really no chance to "fix" a game once released, so there was a need to get it right. And guess what - games were released without all these bugs. Now, the focus is to get it out. Then we'll let the *customers* work out what still needs to be done. Too easy, IMO.

Then forcing additional needless programming such as Uplay on customers just multiplies the opportunities for something to go wrong - so far it causes savegame corruptions as well as one of the game-killing mainline quest bugs. In future I would buy the game & download a pirated version not requiring a client. But I won't be giving any more money to Ubisoft anyway.
