If you play MM1-5 you will notice that the evil clerics are all members of cults named after animal sounds. Well, at least the way that English-speaking folks express those sounds. Peter2 can speak more authoritatively on this. The one I recall is the cult of Moo, both a cow's call and a play on pseudo-science surrounding the legendary lost city of Mu. The joke tradition continued through MM9 with the Honkies -- a play on the call of geese and American racial slur for white people. I wonder if Ubisoft will continue the tradition.
