I was happily blundering and plundering my way through MM6 when it started crashing every time I tried to save a game. I was able to eventually fix the problem so I wanted to post the solution here just in case any else has the same issue. When I clicked on Save Game, it immediately crashed and I got the box with "Might and Magic Six has encountered a problem and needs to close." I am running version 1.2 (Mok's patch over original 1.1 file). I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the game, but that had no effect. I then copied all the files in the Saves folder to another location, uninstalled the game, deleted the whole directory and reinstalled. I copied the Saves folder back in place, but it still had no effect. I knew it must be something with the saved games, but it was odd that I could open every one of them and play. I then deleted all the saved games files, and started replacing them one at a time. The game worked until one particular file. I deleted it from the Saves folder, and now everything is working just dandy. I have no idea what happened to that one file, but I'm glad it's working again because I don't think I could handle starting over at this point. I hope this is helpful to someone else some day.
