I think you've made the right decision. I've persevered slightly until chapter 5 now, but it's SO linear and I don't really enjoy that type of game. The action part is ok to be fair, but bows are underpowered and difficult to hit with, even with skill points in this area. Magic is very powerful. I've been able to go through pretty much unscathed just using one fire spell the whole way. I've hardly drawn a weapon at all. A very frustrating part is when you complete level 4 at the docks, I must have knocked allies or been knocked by them into the sea about 6 or 7 times, maybe I'm just clumsy!. There are enjoyable parts, like releasing the goblins to attack your enemies, however one missed strike form you and they attack you too. I'm not sure if the multiplayer aspect will balance things out as I've never played and never will play a multiplayer game, but to be into chapter 5 of a 9 chapter game over one weekend doesn't seem great and isn't worth £40. I may finish it (because it's so short) but I'm in no hurry to go back to it. I started a new season in Football manager 2007 rather than play it again yesterday. My final thought is, it's not Might and Magic, it's really not. What happened to proper party based RPGs, where you can roam where you want, have stats to develop and can create charaters????. |
