    I don't recall ever messing with "autoexec.cfg", but I have that file dated 01/28/2006 and "autoexec.bak" dated 01/16/2002. I'm guessing that the BAK file is from the original install and the current CFG file reflects changes I've made from the game's control panel.

    The entry you want appears precisely as this on line 53 of the original version of the file -- quotes and all:
    "MaxFPS" "0.000000"

    In my current version the entry appears on line 58 as:
    "MaxFPS" "0"

    In both cases the entry appears between the entries for "maxworldpoliestodraw" and CamLandRollTime2".

    Please let us know if this does the trick. This might help a lot of folks.
