This happens later in the game sometimes with reloading a particular map, but this is different because you're entering the map for the first time. I'm guessing that the problem has to do with the interaction of your game and your system and not something internal to the game itself.I've always suspected that something in the installer code was incompatible with the NT File System. There might be other incompatibilities. If you haven't and you can, reinstall the game on a FAT32 partition. You might be able to reuse your savgames and minisaves, but I wouldn't just to be on the safe side.
