...and you asked ever so politely. A lot of progress has been made over the past year, but not all of it will appear in the near future. Here's where we are. There are currently Italian, Czech and Hungarian localizations of the 1.3a patch. The Russain and French versions are almost finished, and then we'll complete a Spanish one. My collaborators have been wonderful researchers. They have reported many more bugs, including a few game-killers.
All these bugs -- as well as others reported here -- will be fixed for the 1.3b patch. I'm hoping to release that by June 2005.
I've also done some work on changes for the 1.4 patch. If we can finish the localizations of the 1.3b patch by the end of next summer then we might get the 1.4 patch out by June of 2006. Add three months or more for the localizations and then, if Ubi hasn't announced plans for MM10, we'll start on a mod.
This all sounds very depressing, I know. Everything has to be done in spare time and real life is so unrelenting. We'll be working on this for quite a while, so please don't wait until we're finished to play MM9 again.
