I tend to disagree with that since in order to properly develop skills you have to have skill points and in Might and Magic the only way to get those (other than the few horseshoes lying around the the occasional well) is by leveling. Might and Magic is one of the few series that use the skill point system for development of skills. Most games (Wizardry, Morrowind, etc) use the "learning by doing system" for the most part (Wizardy gives you some help in that area when you level, but not much). |
