second paragraph should mention: The essential quests must be completed for the story to advance. The Local Quests are those that serve only the interests of the local population.

optional third paragraph might state that the original work was re-formatted for this presentation, but give TELP credit -- that is, say that we re-formatted it, not Bones. You might also include a link to Spark's quest file in the Analysis section. You may or may not want to mention that we hope to replace both of these resources someday with pages that include all this information and more.




























Pre-Alliance Essential Quests

Clan Leader's Hall, Dagger Wound Island, Brekish Onefang: Take the Power Crystal and find Fredrick Talimere to get the Stone Portals working. Let’s face it, you ain't going no where until you figure out a way around and off of these islands. You can do this with or without ole Freddy boy joining you. All you need to do is talk to him to acquire his knowledge. The power crystal he holds isn't even essential as the game generates one in the chests on one of the islands. You just have to be conservative when chosing which portals to activate.

Clan Leader's Hall, Dagger Wound Island, Dadeross: Find a way off the Islands and take a letter to Elgar Fellman in Ravenshore. These Merchants of Alvar seem to have their fingers in a lot of pies and much revolves around them.

Merchant Guildhouse, Avlar, Bastian Loudrin: Find some one in Ironsand Desert who witnessed the creation of the Lake of Fire and return with that person. It turns out the witness will not return with you until you perform a service for his family. (see next)

Overdune's House, Ironsand Desert, Overdune Snapfinger: Place his brother's ashes in the Family Tomb and he will return to Alvar with you as witness for the creation of the Lake of Fire. Now Overdune isn't a bad sort, but if you were building a party up prior to getting here you will be faced with a difficult decision. When it comes right down to it, no matter how you add it up, you are only allowed 5 party members.

 

 






























Alliance Quests

As you were warned, if you form an alliance with one, their mortal enemy will turn aside from you. Here you must choose sides between the Dragons or the Dragon Hunters and the Necromancers/Vampires or the Priests of the Sun. Luckily the Minotaurs are just very grateful to you and join without any further ado.

Quest: Return the dragon egg to either:
Deftclaw Redreaver in the Dragon Cave. OR
Charles Quixote in the Dragon Hunter’s Camp.

You must choose one of the following two:

Sandro/Thant Throne Room, Necromancer’s Guild, Sandro
Quest: Return the Nightshade Brazier from the Temple of the Sun in Murmurwoods with the assistance of *Dyson Leland NPC.

Temple of the Sun: Leader's Room, Oskar Tyre
Quest: Destroy the skeletal transformer in the Necromancer's Guild of Shadowspire with the assistance of *Dyson Leland NPC.


The Minotaurs are just extremely happy you drained Balthazar’s Lair and join simply when you ask them to. This is really very easy to accomplish. Just look around on the floor of the lair you initially have access to. A piece of parchment will clearly guide you as you set about freeing the Minotaurs from their watery prison.






























Post-Alliance Essential Quests

Merchant House of Alvar, Ravenshore, Elgar Fellmoon: Elgar has yet another task for you. He would like for you to sink the Regnan Fleet so the ship with Xanthor, Catherine, and Roland can dock at Ravenshore. Apparently the Pirates of Regna have built an Outpost in the Dagger Wound Island area. Once inside the Outpost you can find a means of getting to Regna. On the outer Island you will find an Abandoned Pirate Keep near an odd looking cannon. Perhaps searching the Keep will help you to locate the ammo and instructions for that odd cannon.

Hostel, Ravenshore, Xanthor mage of Enroth: He feels you need to enter Escaton's Crystal to prevent the inevitable. He charges you to gather the "hearts" of the elements from the Planes of Air, Earth, Fire, and Water. He can then fashion them into the Conflux Key he believes will grant you entry to the Crystal. He bids you then to enter and determine the fate of Jadame.

Escaton's Palace, Plane between Planes, Escaton the Destroyer: Bids you answer 3 riddles. A page torn from a book will hold the knowledge you need to respond correctly. Once you answer his riddles, he will hand you the keys to the Prisons containing the Elemental Lords. Once free they will exact their revenge!






























Local Alvar Quests

Fromago Manor, Asael Fromago: Seems Asael is quite the cheese connoisseur. He greatly desires for you to find and return with three types of rare cheese. Now he is a bit fickle about this and won't accept any of the cheeses from you until you have all three. For information on where to find them just click on their names.

Keldon's Cottage, Keldon: Kill all the ogres in Alvar to open the Merchant trade routes. This quest has a boon as Keldon offers a bounty for Ogre ears. Ear ear fetches 500 gold and he pays an additional 5,000 gold once you have accomplished the task of annihilating the ogres. Look everywhere!






























Local Dagger Wound Island Quests

Hiss' Hut, Hiss: Find and return the Idol of the Snake from the Abandoned Temple. Hiss seems to think he can perform some spell with this as an ingredient that will avert the cataclysm. (If he succeeds it'll make for a rather short game don't cha know.)

Tisk's Hut, Pascella Tisk: Find and return a copy of the Prophecy of the Snake in the Abandoned Temple. She hopes for a clue about how to avoid doom. If for no other reason perform this quest just to see her reaction after she reads the book. Very dramatic

Languid's Hut, Languid: Return with an Anointed Potion from the Smuggler’s Cove in Ravenshore. This potion will be added to the water supply to avoid the onset of disease thoughout the islands.

Aislen's House, Aislen: Take Cure Disease Scrolls to the 6 villagers on the other islands. Aislen only has 3 so you must find 3 more to fulfill this Quest. That should not be a problem, there are several chests lying about the islands that can help fill the bill.

Rohtnax's House, Rohtnax: Find his brother Isthric the Tongue on the out lying Islands and try to bring him home. He won't actually join your party but once found he makes it back safely back to his loving brother.






























Local Garrote Gorge Quests

* Garrote Gorge is unique in the fact that some of the quests are shared between the Dragons and the Dragon Hunters. *

Foestryke Residence, Zelim: Recover Drum of Victory from the Naga Vault. The drum is said to strike fear into the hearts of the dragons and Zelim is anxious for its return.

Stormlance Residence, Leane Stormlance: She is involved with initiating the Champion Promotion but that quest is directly tied into this one. She misses her dad and would really like to see him again. You would follow the same path as the Champion Promotion, but when you find and speak to Blazen you find him is a dire state. He will send you to his friend Dervish Chevron in Ravenshore to see if he knows of a cure for his affliction. Dervish will give you a Crystal of Restoration to heal Blazen.

Calandril's Residence, Calindril: Find and return a Dragonsbane flower so a poison can be made.
Scarwing's Cave, Balion Tearwing: Find and return with a Dragonbane flower so an antidote can be made.

There are 2 flowers in the map and you can perform both quests.

Avalon's Residence, Avalon: Kill all the dragons in Garrote Gorge.

OR

Ishton's Cave, Jerin Flame-eye: Kill all the Dragon Hunters in Garrote Gorge.

Pretty much speaks for itself. Either way it is whole scale slaughter. I know the Dragon Hunters take great offense to you if you form an alliance with the Dragons and will attack you on sight. Perhaps the Dragons take the same attitude if you establish your alliance with the Dragon Hunters.

Your reputation does not suffer if you wait to perform either of these quests. But if you choose to attack one or the other prior to you choosing a side for the alliance it will not affect your chances of an alliance. Even if you ally yourself to the ones you killed. We sort of accidentally killed all the dragons in the cave when they got a tad upset with us for being overly nosey about their treasure room. The offer of alliance was still available to us after this massacre.

 






























Local Ironsand Desert Quests

Pole's Hovel, Pole: Deliver potions of fire resistance to the 6 southernmost houses in the town of Rust. He only has 3 so you need to beg, borrow, or steal 3 more from some where.

 

Schmecker's Hovel, Schmecker: This fella thinks Royal Wasp Jelly is a delicacy and he pays very well indeed for each jar you bring to him.






























Local Ravenshore Quests

Hall of the Tracker, Maddigan the Tracker: Kill all Dire Wolves in Ravenshore and the Dire Wolf Den. Another added benefit is the 250 gold she pays as bounty on each Dire Wolf Pelt you return to her.

Lathius' House, Lathius: Find the shield Eclipse and return it.

Smuggler's Cove, Arion Hunter: Arion agrees to Elgar Fellmoon's request of placing his ships in service to the Merchants of Alvar after receiving the black mail letter from Fellmoon. In order to keep the Pirates at bay he asks that you deliver a False Report to the Dread Pirate Stanley in the tavern on the Isle of Regna.

Smuggler's Cove, Arion Hunter: This just isn't Arion's day. First he's blackmailed by Fellmoon and now he finds out his daughter is being held prisoner by Zog in the Ogre Raiding Fort built recently in Alvar. He would be truly grateful and extremely generous to anyone brave enough to rescue his daughter.

 

 






























Local Shadowspire Quests

Tantilion's House, Tantilion: Asks you to find and return the Bone of Doom.

Hallien's Cottage, Hallien: Return with a Vial of Gravedirt from the Vampire Crypt so they can perform a cleansing ritual. It seems Hallien respects the wishes of those who chose to die.

House of Benefice, Benefice: Return with Iseldir's Puzzle Box.






























Promotion Quests

Champion

Stormlance Residence, Garrote Gorge, Leane Stormlance sends you in search of her father Blazen and the Ebonest Spear he had when he left.

Dark Elf Patriarch

Blackthorne Estate, Avlar, Relburn Jeebes sends you in search of Cauri Blackthorne.

Great Wyrm

Destroy the hunters at Jeric Whistlebone's camp and return with the Sword of Whistlebone.

Lich

Taleshire Hall, Vetrinus Taleshire, Shadowspire- Find the Lost Book of Khel and lich jars for each Necromancer of your party. Vetrinus becomes an NPC after the quest is accomplished and Lathaen in the House of Lathaen (#12 Twilight map) handles any future promotions.

Minotaur Lord

Tessalar's House, Balthazar’s Lair, Tessalar wants you to recover the Axe of Balthazar, take it to Dadeross on Dagger Wound Island for authentication, then return with it and the letter of authentication. After it is verified Masul (Ravenshore at the Council in the Mechant house) will promote your Minotaurs.

Nosferatu

House of Lathaen, Shadowspire, Lathaen Asks you to find and return with Korbu's remains and sarcophogus.

Priest of the Sun

Snowtree Residence, Stephan, Murmurwoods, Find and return the book Prophesies of the Sun.

War Troll

Schmecker's Hovel, Ironsand Desert, Volog Sandwind sends you in search of the Ancient Troll homeland. Once found Hobb Sandwind handles the promotions.






























Potion Quests

Scattered throughout Jadame are various individuals who will create a "Pure" potion for you. "Pure" potions will permanently increase the associated attribute by 50, but it’s a one shot deal per attribute. All you need to do is have on hand the reagents necessary to create the potion.
