My opinion is that you play the game in the way that suits you best. If you want to use an editor to give yourself whatever stats and goodies you want, that's entirely up to you. The only person you can cheat is yourself, and that's a logical impossibility.My view is that anything the game permits is OK, and it's also OK to use an editor to get round a bug. For example, editing in a set of lich jars to promote your sorcerer would be perfectly legitimate if you'd been hit by the lich jar/soul jar bug in the v1.0 version of the game.
It would be cheating if you then made claims to the rest of us about what you'd done without disclosing that you'd used an editor to do it, however.
