I thought I would miss my cleric the first time I played without one. I was wrong. (And even otherwise, a paladin is a perfectly viable substitute, if you need Bless and healing.)Alchemy is awesome (aside from the inventory space that I waste on reagents). As an extreme example, Cure Disease requires master body magic, or basic alchemy.
Fighting titans? You can go airborne in the Land of the Giants. You can shoot them from a great distance in the Titan's Fortress. Or you can just go toe-to-toe and use grey magic (save first, and reload if you lose a character).
