RE: Dual Classing (spoilers as usual) 05/11/2008, 09:42:57 |
Lady K told you to see the Lector EAO in Steadwick. She (the Lector) is only present during the summer time (June 21 to Sep 21) and lives in a house next door to the Historian for whom you got the Pen (from Lord Markham) in the beginning of the game. The Lectot will yell you to see the Duchess of Deyja (who lives in the large Goblin Village in the Northern part of the Deyjan map (in the the house where the Master Sword Teacher used to live). The Duchess will, after you give her an apple from the Tularean Forest, tell you to find an altar that will teleport you to the Guantlet. That altar is locatef in Harmondale and is the one that used to give you a roundtrip to Eofol. Caution: It (the altar) is useable only ONCE so be sure you have done everthing right the first time. A companion (Lord Godwinson) will join you for this part of the game and help you fight the monsters in the first part of the gauntlet. After you have successully run the gauntlet, rerieved the Coding Fortress key and returned to your starting point (in the gauntlet), the door behind you may be opened with the key you received and that is the entrance to the Coding Fortress. After defeating the eneminies in the Codinf Fortress, nnd gaining access to the room behind the gate, pressing the button there that used to turn off the force field will summon the Coding Wizard. Things to remember: Only fully promoted Characters are eligible for dual classing. All skills that were learned by the previous class are transferred to the new class and are usable by that class, however< if the new class cannot learn a skill that was trasnferred and you didn't fully develop it you will not be able to further develop it with the new class. Example: If you have a Sorcerer that failed to GM Light Magic and you dualed him/her to Master Archer he/she will never be able to GM Light Magic since a Master Archer cannot learn that skill. If you did, however, GM that corcerer in Light Magic, your new Archer will have (and be able to use) GM Light Magic. Hope this helps |
