I have never picked more than one of the same class in the same party. Classwise I have typically as much might as magic in my party, either two pure might persons and two pure magic ones, or one pure might, two hybrids and one pure magic, or so on. I have to admit magic has inherently much more variety to it than might though - after all with a might person the only choice you have is that of the weapon (and even that's eventually something similar), whereas with a magic person you have not just different attack spells but different types of damage, not to mention dozens of other spells.And then in endgame it's *just* more effective than might =(
