create your party then save it before you start. Use an Editor (MM7CHE is a good one) and remove all skills, spells, equipment, money, and food. Lower all stats to 0 (you might have to make Endurance 1 as I don't know how MM7 handles this - 0 Endurance might kill a party member in MM7, but in MM8 it does not - except dragons). This is a true peasant party. I have only played a peasant party in MM8 and won it using my "iron man" rules, but in MM8 there are wells for all state except Endurance and Speed (there is a Speed well on Regna but by that time you don't need it anymore).
There are some hardy players that have played and won MM7 with peasant parties and I know of at least 4 players that have won MM8 with peasant SOLOs - a couple have even won with peasant Trolls . . Fander Treespook won MM6 with a peasant solo Knight.
