in either the regular game or BDJ's mod the party doesn;t even have the Blaster skill yet so blasters are out of the question.I generally use the same tactics on the Mino Kings as I do on the Behemoths in the tunnels to Eofol . . get them trapped where they cant' advance on you and kill them with ranged weapons, if possible. With GM prot Magic, of course, you can if necessary, melee them.
It should be noted for those reading this post about blasters, if you haven't yet played BDJ's mod, blasters there just LOOK like blasters (they don't fire energy beams). They are really just very high powered bows that require the Blaster skill to use.
