hey there! I'm running MM7 on vista as well. try running the setup itself in compatibility mode. You'll need to use the compatibility wizard to set everthing up to run under windows 98 and run as administrator. You may to play with it a little bit to get it to work but once it does you're set.And a word of warning to you: Make sure when you start the game you make sure you disable 3d sound and run it using software graphics. (otherwise you will hang and get an error on every cutscene. Even the create chracter screen) See if this helps, if not get back to me and I'll see what I can do to help!
another tip is not to use the autorun, just set up an icon on your desktop and run it from there. My autorun doesn't work in vista anyway.
