    I play all MM games that way and, in MM8, played an all girl 4 character "DWI" peasant party (KNVC - no money, food, skills, or equipment and all stats at 0) and won with those rules.

    The only "exception" I made was to give the Vampire the starting "racial" skill and spell since that was the only way she could get it.
