The Titan's Stronghold is the best place to get cheap shots at monsters. If your party is low level, and you have great patience, you can just stand there shooting arrows down the hall at titans who are so far away that they won't attack you back. Use Bless and Fire Aura. Your patience will be rewarded with cool items, especially if you Mephisto for them, and a nice XP boost.At mid levels, I switch to spells for my spellcasters, leaving periodically to recharge SP. Any spell (aside from air or mind) that goes straight ahead without targeting will do.
At higher levels, I tend to close for melee combat. Dodge on the way in, and save early and often. Poison Spray and Shrapmetal are lovely, close up. Air resistance, GM Protection from Magic and potions of Haste are all worthwhile.
(Also, I often loot the place under cover of Invisibility before fighting a single monster there.)
