So I dug up my old MM7 discs and decided I'd complete the game this time round. I don't remember experiencing this bug before; it's not game-breaking but it's a pain in the ass. I'll attempt to set a quickspell, but the instant I click on the "Set Spell" button I get an error noise. The music still plays but it's as if the game is frozen. I minimize the game and lo and behold there's an error window that just says "Error", no text or anything. When I close it the game closes too.I'm playing on XP with Mok's patch and the Pella dagger mod installed. I couldn't find anything on this anywhere, but I'm sure someone somewhere has experienced this bug before and has a solution.

Oh, I've recently replaced a few of my audio files with MM7view with better effects for spells, but I doubt that has anything to do with it.
