Because like described above, when I cast it, I got the sound and the decrease in mana, just no effect. BTW, are you still having the problem - in current games, or have you saved the offending game? If so, maybe this could be tested out? (I don't have my bad game anymore and the installation on my newer computer seems to have fixed it - or else I haven't tried using TK with a solo character yet).
