You've got several wild cards here, any one of which might cause a problem -- the fact that it's an old game, the new OS and the DVD drive. The file system might also be a problem. Which one are you using? We haven't even gotten into potential sound problems yet.It's best to address this situation systematically. Tell us *exactly* what happen along with the error messages and whatever info is provided if you get a 'Details' button.
And yes, that's Mok's patch. Try running it from the MM7 folder. If that doesn't work then the problem is in your registry. Have you tried to install the game in more than one location on this system>
