With 4 rolls of a D6 one is more likely to get an average total value -- the middle of the bell curve. Lowering the ratio between the number of rolls and the maximum value per roll flattens the bell curve. Using a 1D24 you'd be as likely to roll a 1 as you would be to roll any other number. |
