I apologize for not responding earlier. Here's an example of a moved dungeon in MM7. We'll put Wromthrax's cave onto Emerald Isle, where Morcarack's cave should be. (This will be easy to test with a new game, too. Note that you can't get the contestant's shield this way, and will have to get the longbow elsewhere.)Back up your Events.lod file. Put it someplace safe.
In MM8LevelEditor, open Events.lod.
Select D28.EVT (Morcarack's Cave).
Note the line that includes:
Teleport destination: Out01.Odm coordinates (13839, 16367, 169) ... facing: (1, 0)
These coordinates are what land you back on Emerald Isle (OUT01), right outside the cave, when you leave the cave.
Now select OUT13.EVT (Tatalia).
Note the line (at the bottom) that includes:
Teleport destination: mdt09.blv coordinates (-2568, -143, 97) ... facing: (259, 0)
These coordinates put you inside Wromthrax's cave (MDT09) at the door.
Now we're ready to add our changes:
Select OUT01.EVT (Emerald Isle).
Note the line that includes:
Teleport destination: D28.Blv coordinates (752, 2229, 1) ... facing: (1012, 0)
This is supposed to put you into Morcarack's cave, but we'll change it to the line from Tatalia that puts you into Wromthrax's cave, as listed above: mdt09.blv, -2568, yada yada yada.
Save your work: From the Import menu, select "currently-displayed resource".
Your modified file name is, by default, "Events.lod.new".
We next want to work on MDT09.EVT (Wromthrax's cave), but if we do that, we're editing Events.lod all over again, rather than our updated file, and a new save wouldn't include the changes we've already made. (This does not stay updated like, say, a word processor.) So first, open Events.lod.new. (Note that I'm fairly inexperienced with MM8LevelEditor, so if anyone knows of a more convenient way to handle this, please tell. I've had it freeze trying to import files, IIRC.)
Now we can open MDT09.EVT. You can guess the routine:
Note the line at the bottom that includes:
Teleport destination: out13.odm coordinates: (-1037, 21058, 2656) ... facing: (1536, 0)
This is what puts us back in Tatalia when we leave Wromthrax's cave. But we want to go to Emerald Isle, so replace these stats with those used for leaving Morcarack's cave: out01.odm, 13839, etc.
Save (Import / currently-displayed resource) again. By default "Events.lod.new.new" but you can name it whatever you want.
Close the editor. Delete Events.lod (you remembered to back it up, right?) and rename your latest Events.lod.new.new (or whatever) to Events.lod. Start a new game, and run into and out of the dragon's cave. If it worked, great! Maybe next, you'll take the stats that you just overwrote (but they're jotted down in our notes above) and insert them into the files for Tatalia and Morcarack's cave. That way, you won't accidentally be sucked into Wromthrax's cave on Emerald Isle from Tatalia, later in the game.
Or maybe you'll just leave it as a way to get to Emerald Isle, and perhaps build another entrance to Morcarack's cave.
(Hmmm. I just tried this, and it worked, but I seem to have misplaced my dragon.)
