An odd monkish problem 07/28/2007, 00:29:07

Brian writes: My monk cannot learn to use a staff. He's got sword, bow, and unarmed, and the shops offer him spear or dagger, but no one will teach him staff. I have been to every above-ground arms shop on the continent. I'm playing the game on the same computer I used last time, when I had a monk who got staff with no problem. What could be the problem? Any guesses? The game doesn't seem to have developed any other bugs.
