Yeah. Spear far behind, while Unarmed-only to be caught up by Staff+Unarmed+Armsmaster.

I've done sums. The result is as follows.
Staff+Unarmed+Armsmaster is little effective indeed - as compared to Unarmed only.
    The same goes for Spear+Arsmaster.
But when you consider items of Recovery, items of Arsmaster and of Unarmed, things change.
(but keep in mind that 2 Level20 skill require 418 skill points while and one Level 29 skill requires 414 skill points)

Assuming a party has 3 monks, (all having base physical damage = 10 hp and speed-based bonus = 8)
the 1st one develops only Unarmed and at Level 29 (plus Hands of Master relict and a +12 Unarmed item) delivers (L29*2)+10+22=90 hp damage or 300 hp/min.
the 2nd monk uses best Spear (avg weapn damage 24, with total Level1 damage of 34) and at Spear level 20 + Armsmaster Level 20 (plus Haste potion (until getting item of Recovery) plus +12 Unarmed item) develops a 86 hp damage per blow or 287 hp/min

200 skill points back the Spearman produced 247 hp/min damage
while the Unarmed monk delivered 240 hp/min damage
    See?
In future i.e. in 510 skill points -
    the Spearman (Spear30+Armsm30) will deliver 106 (353 hp/min) damage
while the Unarmed monk (Unarmed Level 43 now) will deliver 118 (393 hp/min) damage
Thus, the Spearman is more and more behind

The matter with the third Monk (Staff 10G + Unarmed 19M (plus
Hands of Master relict and a +12 Unarmed item, total +22 Unarmed) + Armsmaster 19 (a +12 Armaster item)...
with Recovery 36 (92-25-12-19=36, i.e. up over ears with Haste potion until getting an item of Recovery)
    (that's total 434 skill points)
    delivers 84 hp blows or 228 hp/min.

Let's make even - the Complex Monk raises up another 6 levels in Armsmaster (that's 135 skill points) in order to reduce recovery to 30 and afterwards develop only Unarmed skill so that overall skill pool will be also 414+510. (i.e. (434-20)+(135+x), thus X = 375 skill points
and it equals Unarmed 33 > 110 hp blows and 367 hp/min damage

    And what do we have?
At the last stage both the Unarmed only and Complex monks spent 510 skill points and both upped 28 hp in their blows.
But the Complex monk is 10 levels less in Unarmed.

So the final bit of math is simple -
the Unarmed monk will use more 884 skill points to train to Unarmed Lev60 to deliver 152 hp blows
while the Complex monk will use its more 870 skill points to train to Unarmed Lev53 and to deliver 150 hp blows.
    They are even.
    Unarmed Levels 53/60.

    Tnanks for your attention.
