North Coast Brewpub, a wonderful restaurant/brewery in Fort Bragg, California, has a Trappist-style ale they're promoting for blues and jazz clubs. It's called (drum roll) Brother Thelonius.Incidentally, Ft. Bragg is a seaside resort, but a far cry from what most out-of-staters think of when they think of California beaches. There's nary a palm tree in sight, and the water is COLD! (The old Goldie Hawn film, "Swept Away," was filmed here, as it was the nearest thing to a New England-style town and fishing village this side of Maine.)
Papa elf and I have been to the brewpub several times, and found the beer and ambiance to be relaxing and great. They've brewed several award-winning beers/ales.
