Getting resistance up is difficult in MM7. There are two altars. One in SW Deyja puts your party's resistance to Mind, Body & Earth by 10, and the other in the SW of the Tularean Forest puts up Fire, Earth & Water by 10. There's also another well in Deyja which will increase Fire resistance by 5. Apart from that, your best bet is probably the Wishing Well in Eeofol. But be very careful with this, because it can do anything to a character, including eradication. Save your game each time you use it.
