I have a Celeron 1.7 MHz processor. When I load up say, MM6, it uses about 5-10% of the CPU. When I load up MM7, it shoots up to 100%, and the fan comes on frequently.I have Mok's patch on the game (both 6 and 7), and am wondering if this might be the issue. It makes it difficult to load or use any other program, by slowing them down, since the game is apparently hogging all the resources.
Also, during gameplay, the screen will flash white for a split second. Sometimes it doesn't happen for a while, and sometimes 3-4 times in a single minute. I don't know if this is another program trying to alt-tab itself to my attention, or something else to do with MM7. None of this happens with any other program including, as I said, MM6. This happens with no other programs running.
I have always had sound issues with MM7, but I don't recall this happening before. Anyone recognize these symptoms?
