I played MM7 once, years ago, and am now going through for the second time. I have a vague recollection of what happens, but have forgotten the specifics.While browsing websites, I came across something I didn't remember. I know that eventually you are supposed to declare yourself (envassal? enter vassallage?) with either Erathia or Avlee. This site suggested that you could choose a third option, and become independent.
I don't remember where I saw this but I don't recall having that option the first time through. I seem to recall that you HAD to choose one or the other.
My question is, is it possible to fly solo and declare for neither? If so, what choices must be made to become independent?
