is to attack the Pit after I have finished the game (with a light party). Peter2's technique works very well. If you have a really buff party, you don't have to stay near the door (but use one of the houses or something like that for cover). I especially like hitting Castle Gloaming. Once I've cleared the pit (including, if I haven't done it already, the temple of dark), then I summon light elementals throughout these areas (this is a "role-playing" thing - I am pretending I am "keeping the place clean" for a while so that no necromancers return). After that I go work over Watchtower 6, and the lands above the Pit.
I have a comment if you have a dark party. If you are trying to get through the Breeding Zone, know that it is a little (okay, for me, much) harder than if you have a light party (especially if you are trying to "sneak" through with invisibility - some behemoth is always filling up a tunnel).
