Several Additional Notes (S.A.N.) 01/31/2006, 03:55:33 |
Hello again everyone, I remembered, after posting, that there were some other critical maneuvers and whatnot which I felt I had best list. What kind of greedy pig, I asked myself, would I be if I failed to include such suggestions? What kind of filthy hog would I be, that's what began to trouble me. How can I say ... it bothered me. So I formed a delegation to study the merits of sharing such a list, the pros consisting mainly in alleviating myself of hoggish piggery. For starters, great joy can be had by extracted from the re-arrangement of sounds via MM7View. I find it quite delightful to set it up so that when someone identifies junky items (such as those to be thrown at Harpies corralled into the corner of Deyja) he/she says, "I see something whose power almost matches mine!" Another good idea is to arrange it such that when you learn a new spell, the character says, "Help!" although I'm still not sure *why* this is a good idea. I recently had to resign myself to the possibility that I will never know. A really, really, really, really fun game is to fly at maximum elevation and then do fly by's of Castle Harmondale and try and throw things such that they land on the towers. Usually I like to say that I get ten points for landing something on the tower and three points for landing something on the main roof. My record score is three points so far. Today I started a game with four rangers and they were about to leave Emerald Isle when one of the rangers spent 3600 gold on seashells, thus exhausting the party's finances. The others were so irritated that the group decided to disband and I was left without any players. Drats, I thought. Dang and yikes, together again at last. Also, in the Silver Helm Stronghold I like to lure as many enemies as possible into the wings near the enterance and then stand in the lobby and pretend I am interviewing them for a job. If you have four people with the sparks spell, stand on top of the elevator in Setag's Tower and have them all cast sparks, then jump off the tower. Note that I didn't say to cast feather fall! When you land, you're characters were suffer damage and you can pretend its because they injured themselves on their own sparks! Yay! Also if you cast sparks while going down the elevator it is mildly pretty, although I wouldn't call it gorgeous. But then, you might think it is gorgeous - "De gustibus non est disputandum," or whatever. Another whopper is to throw a bunch of quest items into the Harmondale Lakes and then retrieve them from the Judge, repeating as desired. Why, you could literally do this for hours. You could pretend that you are initiating a recycling program in Harmondale, for instance. And in the Tularean Forest, there is that narrow plank between the main city and the Magic Shops, right? Well guess what. If you walk halfway across and start jumping, it's like your an acrobat or something! I like to see how many times I can consecutively run across without falling off, my record so far is twice although I almost made it three times several years ago. |
