Got to the wishing well... 01/03/2006, 05:08:53 |
Now I remember which part of the game I hated the most the first time I played MM7: those damn behemoths and getting to Land of the Giants. My party is still pretty weak, all are level 33. The voyage was very painful. In the end, I reached my true goal: the wishing well. And you know what? I hate it. After 30 minutes of pumping up my party, that well sucked out all the fun from the game. Exp points? You got 'em. Skill points? They're there. Money? Could buy out Bill Gates. No more reason to do any quests, important skills hover around 30... you got it all! Suckage. I reloaded the game before I dropped a coin in that well. MM6 was good at this, although you had all those nice things I mentioned above, none of them actually gave you skill points or exp. points, you still had to solve quests and kill monsters to earn what's most precious; experience and skill points. Not to mention gold. 10000 every time doesn't cut it and is highly boring. Now my next goal will be getting those lich jars in Celeste, so I can finally get water grandmastery, specifically Lloyd's beacon and "MM6" town portal. It's interesting how much more "balanced" MM7 in this regard is. In MM6, if you played your cards right, you could be water master and have both of those spells in about one hour. Travelling was a cinch. Not so in MM7... |
