I wonder if you really will manage to wait until October to finish the game
, four months is a lot of time if you don't waste any of it on training. You may end up with a lot of unused lamps. I think there are 41 SkP from 21 horseshoes in Harmondale, Erathia, Tatalia, Avlee, Tularean Forrest, Deyja and Bracada.
If you are really lucky (or allow reloading) you can get 72 points from the challenges etc. If you miss any of the 5point pedestals you get another chance at the Barrow Downs which generates every 6 months, for 7 points EI. And of course there is the LoG which also regenerates often, but it can be a bit tricky to get enough of the right attribute.
About lamps, there is one on EI, two in Bracada, three or four in Deyja and several in LoG, which is another reason to make an early trip there. Sorry I cannot give an exact number, but I really don't think you will be able to wait until october anyway.
About skills, pick one kind of weapon. Some consider spears to be the best weapon in the game, but I don't think you can use two spears and you want to use two weapons, which means swords. Or if you think that the skill points will reall be a problem you could consider using daggers, two weapons at expert level is not a bad deal. (Excuse the break, I'm checking what skills the knight can learn) I think I would recommend E bow, definitely armsmaster, but don't put any skill points into it until you can use two weapons, and bodybuilding, and give him the skills merchant and disarm trap. Don't put any skillpoints into merchant, and not many (if any) into disarm. Check what the benefits are for E, M and GM in your favourite armour. Of course no points to shield. You might want to save some SkP for the end of the game.
Cartographer is a very useful NPC. I suspect you will want to use a windmaster or a watermaster in some situations, and a burglar - locksmith combination for some chests before he gets a bit more HP. How did he handle the chests in the haunted mansion?
The arena was definitely one of the benefits of a level 1 party
, but when you have raided the Tularean castle (for the barrels) there is really no too much left to do to become a black knight.
