... the general principle is that as you age, your mental faculties (e.g. INT) increase up to a point and then drop, whereas your physical ones decrease from the word go. I don't have to hand the ages which the game uses as the "break points" at which these effects occur, but from what I remember, the first break point is 50, and second is 100. So ageing can actually help the spellcasting abilities of mages & clerics, but it's a disadvantage to knights. I generally try to remove ageing effects. There's a Fountain of Youth in MM6, but I'm pretty sure you need potions to do it in this game. Check out the top potion shops - in Celeste and The Pit - or, if you have a druid with GM alchemy, get him to whip one up.
