Shooting while moving sideways is what some people call strafing. I'm not sure why they call it that; I understood it was most commonly applied to the action of shooting something up from a moving aircraft. Like the way GP once said he sometimes tackles Dragonsand in MM6 - flying through the dragons clustered around Shrine of the Gods in realtime, with Shrapmetal set as the quickspell and the "S" key held down... 
Now that's strafing! I've been known to tackle Mire of the Damned that way, but with arrows. The problem is that too many of the ghosts fly out to sea, fall in the water, and I can't rob their corpses.But that's English English. Maybe strafing has that meaning in US English. Anybody know?
