[1] Lord Brinne was an old-time fan of MM. When he died, the game designers decided to create a tomb to honor him. I have heard there's a similar dungeon to tribute Lord Brinne also in Morrowind.
[2] The blue dragons are weaker than the red dragons but azure dragons are supposed to be the strongest dragons in Antagarich. So, I don't think so.
[3] Gavin Magnus is an immortal hero so he must have found a way to transform him. Though I am not really sure about this.
[4] I suppose Mutare fights to conquer Nighon after the Restoration Wars, somewhere around 1173 A.S. It is only my assumption.
[5,] [6] Krewlod does not appear in MM7 though you can see it in the town portal map, as well as Vori. By that time, Kilgor must be the ruler of Krewlod. Bracada is a large territory and part of it is a desert. I understand that you are confused by the fact that in HoMM3 SoD Bracada is snow covered. My assumption is that in MM7 Bracada Desert is close to Krewlod's borders.
[7] In HoMM3 SoD Gem says something about the Rampart troops and IIRC she mentioned why exactly these troops are living in Ramparts. Perhaps someone else will be more precise.
[8] I suppose Gavin Magnus is a human. He features in one of the early HoMM3 Chronicles where he is killed but later raised as an immortal hero. It's never really explained how did it happen.
