The Hive in MM6 was disappointing, but it went by quickly as you haste-blast through it. I was ready for the game to be over because at that point, I had all the best gear, cool artifacts and all. Blasters ruined any challenge in the end, but they didn't come early enough to hurt things too bad.However, when they made MM7, they really blew it. Blasters come early, before you even get some of the best relics (as few relics that MM7 has...) What was the point of finishing the obelisk puzzle? None of those relics serve any purpose. The spear in Zod was particularly worthless, but would've been amazing just a couple quests earlier. Instead, you get it and before you know it, you're forced to take off all your gear in favor of wetsuits. Am I the only one that thinks this is just ridiculous? I know a lot of people consider MM8 to be the worst of the second trilogy, but I find it a lot better than MM7 :/
