it's a well-known fact that xp doesnt get along with some games, but it's even more known that the ATI Radeon drivers SUCK, and cause crap to happen like crashing, not starting up, and the ilk.

so i wanted to know if i could fix either of these problems - i tried updating my drivers but when i did, windows went screwz0r and restarted, giving me like four messages saying "Windows has just recovered from a fatal error". so yeah. screw that.

but currently, i can run MM7 up till right after i click "play", then it closes, saying it had an error.

any ideas?

if you use any fairly current Catalyst, besides 5.1, you shouldn't have any problems. personally, i recommend the 4.12's... they run old and new games very well. (n/t) - vesselle ( Tue 15-Feb-05 11:37:16 )
