Windows XP again - I have tried everything

    I have windows XP on a new computer.
    I have tried all solutions listed on this site an others
    ie change sound, hardware acceleration,etc.

    The thing is also that I had the game working on the same computer last night and this now this message just comes up every time I try to start the game.

    Please help me.....very desparate
