    Did you do a full installation, or just a minimal one?
    Have you set the sound to "Play CD music" (On some games)?

    Have you got a sound card? (On my first machine [win98 no soundcard] I got no music, but I did get norm SFX. On my second [win98 Avance AC97 thingy] I got music too.)

    If that doesn't help, I'm gonna install MM7 sometime soon, so I might find the problem then!
