Back around Easter of 2023, my VERY antique desktop (Which I'd bought way back in 2007, and had Windows Vista!) became way too antiquated for modern-day Internet browsing. So, I ended up buying a newer PC, insisting that it had a CD-ROM. First thing I'd noted was modern CD-ROM drives are VERY flimsy; whereas the old machine had a sort of tray that you rested the CD in, the newer ones have a very flimsy thing that has the spindle, and you have to snap the CD onto and off of the spindle.Anyway...with that being said, I'd decided to try running MM6 and MM7 from the original CDs. The short answer is that yes, newer machines will install and run the old CDs, albeit with some limitations. I run Windows 11 on my machine.
