OK. Well, I looked at the MM6 map, and ended up changing the itinerary around. Originally it was going to be New Sorpigal to Castle Ironfist, then another ship to Hermits Isle from there, then on to Emerald Island. However, after looking at the map, I noted that going from Castle Ironfist they'd have to go back past New Sorpigal again, as New Sorpigal is on a peninsula that juts into the sea, and the Castle Ironfist docks are actually on the other side of said peninsula from the sea! (And, on the seaside of the land in Castle Ironfist is where the bandits and undead reside, as well as the Temple Of Baa. Who would want to contend with that!)Of course, Hermits Isle has Titans to contend with, but in my story it's implied that Abdul made a deal with them to build that resort village, and they police the area around there, keeping the undesirables away.
So, the new itinerary goes straight from New Sorpigal to Hermits Isle. It cuts two days off the travel time, but I'm going to keep their departure from New Sorpigal at 13 November, and arrival at Emerald Island as 1 January. I'm still not going to have them stop at the village I'd conjured up at Hermits Isle, as that's part of the travel: them wishing they could enjoy a day and "Perhaps even get to finally meet the elusive Abdul." (Which is kind of a nod to the residents of Silver Cove in MM6: if you speak to them, quite a few wonder or even speculate as to who he really is.)
At some point, I do plan to start that adventure back up and continue pushing forward on the story. Especially now that things are slowing down a bit in my life.
