That place is a severe rectal pain, and is without doubt my unfavourite dungeon. I quite enjoy Darkmoor, though. I don't tackle it until I have to, by which time my party is roughly level 70. At that level, my Dark Magic casters Dragon Breath spells just blow the Eyes away, and the Power Liches succumb very quickly to Shrapmetal at contact range.There's a technique for tackling the harpies in the Frozen Highlands, which I find works reasonably well. You need Fly, Meteor Shower, and decent bow skills. Enter the Frozen Highlands from Silver Cove, not across the bridge from Free Haven, get up as high as you can, and fly north to the mountains NE of Hargraeve. Keep a good eye out, and as soon as you spot the harpies, hit Return to enter turn-based play, pick out the Harpy Witches, and target them with arrows at extreme range. When they get close enough, centre a Meteor Shower on them if they're still close enough to the mountain tops. The essence is to pick out the Witches, and hit them first. Don't get blind-sided!
