Picture a snooty attendant behind the counter of a high-class Savile Row tailors. Across the counter from him is a caricature Texan – white jacket, Stetson, and big cigar. On the counter between them are two small elasticated circlets with a clip attached to them, and the attendant is saying "I don't know, sir, how you are going to keep your goddam' trousers up, but those, I assure you, are suspenders!" |
