It must be about time now for you to explore a bit further 11/16/2012, 10:07:13 |
When you are tough enough to tackle the Storeroom without losing anybody, you can do the following: (1) Head down south to the next town, Baywatch. There are a couple of desks in the NW where you can learn Pathfinding and Mountaineering. For the time being, though, stay clear of Unholy Hall and north central area near the Travel Mirror and the entrance to Baywatch Caverns. (2) Go back to Fountain Head, and (assuming you've cleared the Storeroom and got the Create Rope spell) you can tackle Fountain Head Caverns. You'll find the Danger Sense, Direction Sense and Swimming skills down here, and you'll finally find the Rat Overlord. It's also worth while exploring the mountains and woods around Fountain Head, but stay in areas A1 and A2 for the time being. (3) You should also be able now to tackle the Temple of Moo, near Fountain Head. Take a careful note of what is written on the walls, you will need some of it in another place. The rest of areas A1 and A2 should present no further problems. After those, you should now be able to tackle area B1, but take increasing care as you go east and south, and the caverns and dungeons are tougher than the areas around them. Re. the monsters' free attack, Yes, they do. A tip - if you want to run, face away from the hostiles, and cast a Jump spell as your first action. That will give you one square's clearance, and monsters won't follow you across an area boundary. They'll be fully healed when you return, of course, but hey, you can't have everything ... |
