    Pass through the first room in the building with the blocked passage. Go up the south ramp and follow it to the east, then go down again and take the northen corridor west. Go up the ramp where you will find the switch. Go back to the first room, where the cube has turned red. Touch it and "the way has been cleared". Unless I have managed to confuse you too much it should now be possible to go through the (un)blocked way.
