Some game mechanics questions:

    1. States

      • When the character dies? When is it eradicated? What's the difference between death and eradication?
      • Monsters which can inflict some ill status on us don't do so on every hit. What's the chance to inflict it?
      • Monster table from icon.lod says that, for example, Cobra can inflict Poison 1 x 2. I do know that there are three types of poison and disease, so poison 1 is clear; but what that x2 does mean?

    2. Combat resolution

      • According to Bones' combat manual, a character with attack/shoot bonus +90 always hits. Is it true?
      • Our character uses in those calculations its attack/shoot bonus, but what do the monsters use? Level? (Maybe I'll enroll some new characters and let the goblins to whack them to see.)
      • How do the resistances work?

As for resistances: I guess it is thus:

Resistances are given as number. I think that this number is chance to halve the damage and to try another roll. (Ex.: my Archer sends Incinerate on, say, fire lizard (we'll assume that it has fire resistance of 50) and causes 100 damage. Lizard rolls, succeeds and reduces damage to 50, then it tries again. Another success; damage is reduced to 25, and lizard rolls again. It gets another success and reduces the damage to 12; then it fails the roll and twelve points of damage are inflicted.)

    Thanks!
