The sacred Flame into which you must throw the Chaice is in the "new Temple" ;ocatrd in the area where you have been transported. Your game is messed up because the training hall and the money arre in the "old" Baal's Garden, not this one.
That's why I told you to get the Chalice LAST, juet before you beacon to Ball's Garden with it in inventory. You cannot set the Chalice down somewhere and portal back without it as it will be lost when you return and the game can no longer be won.
