Are you saying you are so far through Part II that you have reached that pyramid. That is only two maps away from the end of part II and the game and there are something like 15 maps in Part II.If you converted and installed part II properly there should be no towns or people in Part II.
The only monsters gaurding the Pyramid (that are hontile) are on the inside and they are Minotaurs. The Minotaurs on the outside are "greenies" and are neutral (they will attack you if you attack them).
Please give me a little more information. I am honor bound not to give specific "spoilers" for Part II, but can give general hints.
If you see sanything that looks like Part i, you didn't install Part II corectly.
