According to my lists, the only place you can go from Blackshire is Free Haven. That's not an absolute certainty for everybody else, though, because I still play the v1.0 game, and I know there's a difference between my game and some others in the way(s) of reaching Eel-Infested Waters. However, I'd rate it as probable, and if your game is in fact different, I'd be delighted to know!AFAIK yes, you have to make your way to Free Haven on foot before a coach or boat will take you there. And I think the same applies to Silver Cove. That's one of the things I always use a gatemaster for. I think in this game just entering the territory is enough, but IIRC for the purposes of the Town Portal spell in MM7, you have to drink from the central fountain before the game registers that you've visited a region. That was something else that caught me out in my first game, and I had to make my way twice though the Tunnels to Nighon. That was a bit of a trial.
